A little piece of advice

Since having my son EVERYONE I've ever met has given me advice. My favorite? "Sleep when your baby sleeps". This advice is a joke. First, it gives you this illusion that your baby will fall asleep and stay asleep. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to do this just to FINALLY drift off and then hear my son start crying. Secondly, If you sleep when he sleeps, when the hell are you going to get anything done? It's not exactly easy trying to do the dishes one handed. What people really should say is "Learn to function without sleep".

The BEST advice I have EVER received was from the over the top 3rd shift nurse. I had gotten flustered and gave my son a binky. When she came in, I apologized- feeling guilty since ALL the breastfeeding material said, in big bold letters DO NOT GIVE THEM A PACIFIER. She laughed at me, and said "honey, we don't go home with you. Do what works best for YOU"

Seriously.

Earn money just by shopping online

Shopping online is something almost everyone does. Now-a-days there are even more perks to shopping online: online only items, discounts and reward sites. What's a reward site you say? WELL LET ME TELL YOU! It truly is a beautiful invention.

There are sites out there that pay you to shop. They don't pay you a fortune but they give you a certain percentage of cash back on your purchases. Ebates has a collection of online coupon codes and hundreds of stores they'll give you cash back for shopping at. They'll send you a check in the mail and if your new to the site they will give you a $10 gift card when you sign up and make your first purchase.

Another site that gives you points for purchases is Swagbucks. They'll give you points for every dollar you spend at certain stores and sometimes they offer you more money than Ebates.

All you have to do is check out the links and do the math to see who has the better payout!

Ps. Combine these offers with a point rewarding credit card and you earn even more cash back (Just remember to pay off your card, obviously)
